The role of organizational culture on the effectiveness of technology transfer projects in Iran

Abstract

There are many elements in the process of technology transfer that influence the effectiveness of it. One of these cases is the corporate culture. Organizational culture that impact of national culture can underlie the success or failure of the technology transfer process. For this purpose this study examines the role of organizational culture based on Hofstede's framework on the effectiveness of technology transfer. Statistical population of the research was technology transfer projects during recent two decades. Accordingly we selected 53 projects and the questionnaires were fulfilled by these projects’ managers and experts. We used structural equation modelling to analyze data. The research results showed the key role of organizational culture on technology transfer (.to determine the success and failure). The results also showed that results-oriented, employee-oriented, Professional view, Open systems, Loose control and Normative view are more impact on the effectiveness of technology transfer.
