[English]

Biotechnology industry has been a thriving industry for the past three decades, driven by start-ups and enterprises that are led by technology entrepreneurs. Since the development process and entrepreneurship in this industry is very technologically oriented and challenging, these entrepreneurs need correct knowledge of relevant science and familiarity with business principles, so the aim of this research is to present a model of technological entrepreneurship in the field of biotechnology for this purpose. The research is of a qualitative type with a case study strategy with deep and semi-structured interviews with experts and elites of industry and universities and accelerators of biological sciences regarding the investigation of factors affecting the process of technological entrepreneurship of start-ups in the field of biotechnology. To standardize the measurement tool, face validity, re-test reliability and inter-coder reliability between two coders have been used. The findings were analyzed by thematic analysis and 18 sub-themes were extracted in the form of 5 main themes. The findings showed that the 5 main factors "tech entrepreneur and team, idea, product development, market and environment of the biotechnology industry" affect the process of technological entrepreneurship in this industry and the technological entrepreneurship model guiding biotechnology entrepreneurs includes these themes.
