Introduction and Objectives: In recent decades, the increasing spread of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, has led to fundamental changes in various organizational and management fields. One of the prominent fields that has been increasingly affected by artificial intelligence is information technology project management. The present study aims to identify and prioritize the applications of artificial intelligence in information technology project management.
Methods: This study attempts to extract the most important areas of AI application in this field, as well as evaluate and classify their importance and feasibility from the perspective of experts. To achieve this goal, a mixed approach was used. In the first stage, theoretical information was extracted from reliable scientific sources using the meta-synthesis method and the main applications of artificial intelligence in project management were identified. Next, to analyze and prioritize these applications, the fuzzy Delphi technique was used to screen the applications and the Mabak method was used to prioritize them. The research philosophy was pragmatic (a combination of interpretive and positivistic approaches), applied orientation, exploratory goal, mixed research logic, and the data collection method was field.
